They have a ridiculously priced one made specifically for it. The cheapest one I have found that is compatible is $69 I believe.

Only if you think iOS has more usability than OS X and you don’t have a need for any I/O ports outside of the one charge/data port.

I prefer to use my MacBook from 2007 over my much newer iPad.
